CMSE® Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord) | Energy Conservation Specialist

Johannes de Jager joined the SMC Energy Conservation team in 2018. Leveraging over 27 years of experience in the pneumatic automation industry, he advises MRO and OEM manufacturers on best practices for compressed air. Johannes is also a Certified Machine Safety Expert (TÜV NORD). Originally from South Africa, he attended college there before relocating to the United States in 2013. In his spare time, Johannes enjoys expanding his collection of vintage vinyl records and building classic arcade machines.

With over a decade in the automation industry, Mohammed is currently Managing the Application Engineering team on the East coast (Canada and US) at Omron Automation. Before this, he sharpened his skills at Siemens Canada as an Applications Engineer in Factory Automation and Safety Automation, and later made significant contributions in safety as a Safety Engineering Manager. Known for his deep knowledge and exceptional teaching abilities, Mohammad is ready to deepen your understanding of machine automation & functional safety.
